Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has outlined three key expectations from his teammates ahead of the AFCON Round of 16 match against Mozambique on Monday night.
While speaking to reporters in Morocco prior to the match, Chukwueze urged Eric Chelle’s squad to treat Mozambique with respect, approach the game with the same intensity as they would against Nigeria, and give their all as if it were the AFCON final.
“They’re a strong team, not a minor team in Africa,” the Fulham star acknowledged.
“We need to show them the respect they deserve, as they have exceptional players who compete in some of the top clubs.”
“We must confront them as they will confront us. We need to give everything as if it’s the final.”
Chukwueze delivered an impressive performance in Nigeria’s last AFCON match against Uganda, where the AC Milan loanee provided two assists during the game.
