Nigeria’s men’s tennis team will face Morocco in a Davis Cup World Group II tie in Rabat on 19 and 20 September 2026, with the visitors looking to continue the momentum created by their promotion-clinching victory over Uzbekistan earlier this year.

Nigeria arrive in Rabat after beating Uzbekistan

Nigeria reached World Group II after defeating Uzbekistan 3–1 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club in February.

The tie had been level at 1–1 after the opening singles matches before Nigeria moved ahead through a doubles victory. Daniel Adeleye then sealed the decisive point with a 6–3, 6–4 win over Ilya Ignatov in the reverse singles.

The result represented a significant step for Nigerian tennis and set up this away assignment against Morocco.
