WHEN she said yes to marrying the man of her dreams, Nicole Scherzinger could not have foreseen that just shy of three years later, she still wouldn’t have walked down the aisle.
The plan had been to get hitched to ex-rugby player , 41, soon after his in 2023, but Nicole’s skyrocketing success in her career has pressed pause on their plans to wed.

However, I’m told the delay is by no means an indicator that Nicole, 47, is having second thoughts. In fact, far from it.
Instead, close friends of the couple say superstar singer Nicole is being fully supported by beau Thom to hold off on making wedding plans as she focuses on with and as a trio.
Having had Covid scupper the chart-topping band’s original plans to go on tour in 2020, Nicole is now more determined than ever to make this reunion one for the history books, off the back of her recent achievements on the stage.
An insider told The Sun: “Nicole is a perfectionist and wants to put her heart and soul into everything she does.
“Marrying Thom can’t be something she does half-heartedly. When the time is right, they’ll tie the knot – but it’s being pushed back.”
It just so happens that, for Nicole, two of her biggest blessings came within months of one another – twenty years after first finding fame as the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls.

That’s because soon after becoming a bride-to-be, run in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard, for which she bagged an Olivier Award.
The singer, who has a strong religious faith, described going on to win Best Actress In A Musical at the prestigious Tony Awards for her Broadway debut as Norma Desmond in Jamie Lloyd’s acclaimed revival as being “God’s divine plan for me all along”.
She continued: “There was a purpose behind all the patience, pain, and pushbacks that have been scattered amongst the beauty of my life so far.
“I believe God has a plan for all of us — a plan and a purpose. I believe you just have to listen to the whispers of your heart and trust him.”

Nicole was 40 when she met rugby ace Thom on through mutual friend and star Ollie Locke.
Their chemistry could be felt through the screen when Nicole swooned over Thom and his Try Star rugby bandmates and Levi Davis.
At one point, show judge stepped in to jokingly warn Nicole: “No more sportsmen.”
She spent eight years in an on-off relationship with F from 2007, enduring several high-profile break-ups until they eventually called it quits in 2015.
Friends recently told how for putting up with him for as long as she did – after it was revealed he’s now dating .
But when she met Thom, she suddenly understood why she had to go through the painful break-ups to find her way to him.

After relentless teasing by her Celeb X Factor co-stars Simon and , Nicole eventually voted Thom off the show to save their romance.
Despite their six-year age gap, Nicole knew this was a relationship that she wanted to seriously pursue – and three years later, they were engaged.
Smitten Thom – who had previously dated model and actress Jessica Lowndes – is more in love than ever with his Pussycat Doll – despite hitting the brakes on their wedding plans.
Our insider added: “They’re a match made in heaven.
“Obviously, they’re both insanely beautiful and handsome – but they’ve also got incredibly quirky and eccentric personalities.
“The moment Thom fell for Nicole, he knew she was The One and didn’t give their age gap another thought.
“He’s in total awe of her and couldn’t be more proud of her achievements.
“He will do anything and go anywhere for Nicole. They were made for each other and they’re very much in it together, them against the world. The wedding will happen when it happens.”
It was believed the couple planned to tie the knot this year, but Nicole is set to embark on The Pussycat Dolls’ 53-date PCD Forever tour.

When the time is right, Nicole and Thom plan to wed in Hawaii in front of family before having a second ceremony in the UK with showbiz pals.
Our source said: “Family means everything to them both, so they know they want to make sure they have the time and energy to plan a wedding in Hawaii. It’ll be a huge affair, but only for their relatives.
“At a late date, they plan to have a second ceremony back in the UK which will a star-studded event.”
The Pussycat Dolls tour kicks off in America this July before heading across the pond to the UK and Europe from September.
There were six members in the original line-up, but Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton are not part of this reunion.

It didn’t hamper the band’s success in the charts however, as their comeback single Club Song peaked at number two.
Nicole had a number of theatre roles as a youngster, before joining the Pussycat Dolls and scoring a string of hit records.
She went on to release two solo albums and become a judge on shows including and US.
However, she got emotional accepting her Tony Award last year as she opened up about the Sunset Boulevard’s impact on her life.
“This has been a very healing process for me,” she said.
“I always felt like I wasn’t living my full potential and full purpose. I was never happy with myself.
“It is because I knew I had so much more to give. And this role and this opportunity allowed me to give all of me. It’s changed my life.
“But it has been hard. It has not been an easy road.”

Thom has been a pillar of strength for Nicole as she worked to make her mark on stage.
While other partners may have struggled with their other half’s mind-blowing accomplishments, Thom stands proudly by her side.
Following his rugby retirement in 2010, the former Scotland international now works as a model and fitness influencer who travels the world with Nicole wherever her roles take her.
An insider added: “Thom is a successful, secure man who is fiercely proud of his better half. He’s her ride or die.”
The feeling is mutual for Nicole, who recently paid tribute to Thom on stage at her one-woman show at the Albert Hall, telling the crowd: “I want to give a special shout out to the love of my life, Thom Henry Evans. Dreamboat Thom Henry Evans. I love you.”
