NFF confirms Felix Agu eligible to play for Super Eagles

Werder Bremen defender, Felix Agu has been cleared to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Agu, who is of Nigerian descent has previously represented Germany at the U-21 level.

The 24-year-old was named in the Super Eagles’ squad for the Unity Cup invitational tournament this week by head coach, Eric Chelle.

The full-back was expected to train with the squad as he awaits clearance from the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA.

The German Football Federation, DFB, has officially confirmed that Agu, has never played for Germany in any official match at the senior or junior level.

The decision has now paved way for the player to play for Nigeria at the senior level.
