The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced the appointment of Abdu Maikaba and Eboboritse Uwejamomere as head coaches of the Flying Eagles, and Golden Eaglets.

Maikaba, takes over from Aliyu Zubairu who led the Flying Eagles to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, and 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The experienced tactician has also previously coached with the Golden Eaglets, and also once worked as an assistant to former Flying Eagles head coach, Paul Aigbogun.

Uwejamomere, who replaces Manu Garba as Golden Eaglets head coach has served as coach-analyst with the Super Eagles , for many years now.

He is currently head of academy at wave-making Sporting Lagos FC.

Sporting Lagos recently gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL.
