BRITAIN’S first register for nannies and maternity nurses has been launched — in a victory for the Sun on Sunday.

We demanded action after a judge took the highly unusual step of identifying who inflicted 20 injuries on twins.

, who advertised online, caused a broken leg, cracked ribs and a fractured skull during a 12-day stint with the family.

The voluntary National Nanny Register will now offer parents safeguards.

The National Nanny Association UK said it hoped its register would prevent a repeat of the case.

“In all other sectors of the childcare and education industry strict and robust safeguarding protocols must be adhered to.
