NEIGHBOURS are great when you are all getting along well â but it can be awkward if one side’s property starts to fall into disrepair.
This is what happened to one homeowner, who was left frustrated at his neighbour’s fence between their gardens.

Taking to Reddit, they showed how entire sections of the fence had fallen down, so you could see into each garden.
They wrote: “My neighbour not looking after his fence particularly well.
“So I’ve let my bushes grow to fill the gaps where the fence panels should be.”;
Despite trying to solve the issue, they said the neighbour was not happy at all.
They continued in the post: “He’s complained that I’m ‘neglecting my garden’.
“My house is on the right hand side with the kayak.”;
In the gaps of the fence, the person had let their ivy grow in the space, without pruning it down.
The neighbour dispute divided internet users, with many people torn about whose side they were on.
Many defended the Reddit user, and said his plants were actually holding the fence up in places.
One replied: “I think you might be making a significant contribution to the structural integrity of the fence.”;
The homeowner agreed, saying: “I have pointed out that without the support from the bushes it’ll literally blow over. And I don’t really want to keep looking into his garden. Been talking about fixing it for 7 years.”;
However, some were on the other person’s side.
One said: “I have ten pounds that says he will eventually start blaming the failure of his fence on your garden...”;
Another agreed: “And he’d be right. You can see the bushes literally pushing the fence down in one picture.

“I’ve had this exact situation before (I was the bush garden) and it is 100% OP’s [original poster’s] fault.”;
Meanwhile, others still took a more balanced approach.
One boldly stated: “I’m going to take a diplomatic stance and declare both gardens are s***.”;
