Senators from the northern region of the country have expressed their condolences to the families affected by the tragic tanker explosion in Niger State, which resulted in numerous fatalities.

According to DAILY POST, the incident occurred on Tuesday along the Agaie–Bida road in Katcha LGA of the state.

“We are profoundly saddened by this catastrophic incident and pray for the eternal peace of the departed souls. May Allah grant them Jannatul Firdaus and provide comfort to their families during this challenging time,” he stated.

The lawmakers urged the Federal Road Safety Corps to enhance their efforts in ensuring that tankers and other vehicles on the roads are roadworthy and adhere to safety standards to avert such tragic occurrences in the future.

They conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the grieving families, the government, and the people of Niger State, praying that Allah grants the victims eternal peace and solace to their families.

The Forum emphasized that the tanker explosion has once again underscored the necessity for stringent enforcement of safety protocols and regular inspections of vehicles transporting hazardous materials.
