believe he had killed Jessica, after an autopsy and revealed the “female victim was strangled”, according to Chambers County District Attorney Mike Segrest.
“It appears the male was attempting to dispose of the body in a remote location,” he added.
Their bodies were found side-by-side about 125 miles from Robbins’ home in Macon, Georgia.
“He died of a heart attack while doing it,” Segrest said.
“Their bodies were right there together.”
Authorities believe Jessica was murdered following a domestic dispute, but where she was strangled remains unknown.
Robbins and Jessica had been in a romantic relationship, according to DA Segrest.
Their bodies were found just a few miles from where she lived.
A passerby noticed Robbins’ pickup truck parked on a dirt road near County Road 86 and called the police.
Officers found Jessica and Robbins’ remains a short time later.

At the time, the truck was still running and the driver’s side door was wide open and the tailgate had been lowered down.
Drag marks were visible in the dirt from the truck’s tailgate, leading to the location where the bodies were found, police reported.
Deputies made the grim discovery in the nearby wooded area.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences then arrived to undertake an autopsy.
An investigation into the two deaths remains ongoing.
Jessica had three adult sons, who described her as someone who “touched the lives of many with her heart of gold, deep love for everyone and a smile that brightened the world”.
She had lived and worked in many places in the Auburn-Opelika area.
Her memorial was held on Sunday at her mother’s home.
Robbins also had a daughter.
She described her deceased dad as a “country boy who loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and had a deep passion for racing” in his obituary.
The obituary has since been removed.
