A MURDER investigation has been launched after an elderly woman was found dead following a house fire.
Emergency services were called to a burning property in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, after 8pm on Sunday.

The body of a 75-year-old woman was found inside the house, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Yorkshire have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder.
Pictures from the scene show the roof of the property with black burn marks and a big hole in it.
Fire crews were seen hoisting ladders up to the second floor window with multiple fire engines parked outside.

The street outside the home was cordoned off with police tape, emergency vehicles filling the road.
Forensic officers were pictured at the burnt-out house the following day in white apparel.
A man was also seen being put into the back of a police car.
Police were first alerted to the fire following reports that a person was trapped at an address at Yew Tree Walk on June 5.
Following the death of the pensioner, a murder was launched.
The Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, who are leading the probe, have since arrested a man who remains in custody.
