Terrifying Arrest: Man Threatens Ex-Wife with Death and Attacks Moments Before Capture

THIS is the chilling moment a remorseless ex-husband is arrested after following his wife home, slashing her throat and threatening to kill her.

He followed Linda home on December 26 last year, letting himself into her flat in Evesham, Worcestershire, and told her “ you now”.

During the 15 minute attack Harris grabbed a 10-inch kitchen knife and stabbed the grandmother-of-four.

The attacker then bent Linda over the sofa before “slowly slitting” her throat during the bloody onslaught.

But the 64-year-old miraculously survived and was able to phone her daughter – who rushed to the one-bed flat with emergency services.

Harris was arrested shortly after with footage showing him wearing a stony, emotionless expression as cops cuffed him.

He appeared at Worcester Crown Court on April 13 where he pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Linda’s daughter Katie Louise Armento hopes the brute will “rot in jail” after finding her mother “covered in blood” on .

Mum-of-one Katie, 34, said: “He followed her home, he’d seen her somewhere in the town in Evesham.

“They’d recently got a in early 2025 after she’d been in a violent and controlling relationship with him.

“She bumped into him at the Ambassador Club and basically just said ‘leave me alone’.

“He followed her home and got into her flat. He did know her key safe, so we think he knew that and that’s how he got in.

“He walked into her flat and said ‘I’m going to kill you now.”

Katie told how her brave mum was left with paralysed fingers and huge scars after being attacked by the ten-inch blade.

She added: “She’s got a big, big scar, it’s got to be 12 inches long on her right arm.

“Two of her fingers have basically been paralysed; they are not moving really.

“Her right hand tendons were slit. With her left hand she grabbed the blade and her thumb was basically cut off.

“She had to have surgery to restore that.

“Then she remembers waking up and he’d had her bent over the sofa with her head held back.

“He got a second knife and slit her throat. He really went out to kill her.”

Linda had pleaded with her ex-husband not to kill her, begging him “please stop”.

After the horror, she managed to phone her daughter at around 6pm and told Katie, “he’s stabbed me”.

Footage filmed by Katie shows the thug in handcuffs as two officers read him his rights before taking him away in a police van.

Harris looked emotionless as he was detained by cops following the attack.

Linda then had to undergo eight-hour surgery to repair the damage to her arms, neck and chest.

But while she also suffers with the physical harm Harris inflicted on her, Katie says her mum now also struggles with .

She added: “She suffers so much now, he’s taken away everything from her. She won’t go out or anything now, she’s an absolute nervous wreck.

“She struggles to undo things and pick things up. She has PTSD and says she sees him.

“She’s very, very very lucky to be alive. The impact of what he has done. Our mother isn’t the same any more.

“She’s scared, she’s frightened, she’s jumpy. He’s put her through so much in those years of being together.

“If I hadn’t got the call, I don’t know what would’ve happened. She likely wouldn’t have survived.”

Reflecting on Harris’ guilty plea, Katie said it was a “relief” for her and Linda – but she now wants him to rot in jail.

She added: “I’m hoping he gets more of a sentence than what he put my mum through for the last 14 years.

“To be honest, I hope he rots in and never sees the light of day again because he is an absolute animal.

“Looking at the categories from one to four, he’s sitting around one (b) which is around 25 to 35 years.

“I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison for what he did to my mum.

“He’s a danger to women and other people. I want to raise awareness for domestic violence as a whole.

“Women feel stuck and feel like they can’t get out of relationships. Since the incident my mum is so up and down, so I need support for that.

“The aftermath of it all, what he’s done to her and all of us, it’s horrible.”

Harris is due to be sentenced on June 22.
