A MUM-OF-FOUR who was allegedly stabbed to death outside her home in a horrific attack has been pictured for the first time.

Tania Williams, in her 40s, was on Saturday night with cops arresting a man in his 60s on suspicion of murder.

Tania’s neighbours raced to her aid after they heard screams and found her lying on the pavement in covered in blood.

They called the emergency services to Broadland in Norwich just before midnight.

One local told the Eastern Daily Press : “I came out and heard my neighbour say call 999. I was standing on the phone with 999 and I was quite shaky.

“They told me to do CPR on her, but my neighbour said she was far gone by then. We knew it was Tania because of her bright blue hair.”

“It’s a shock to my system – you never would have thought it would have happened on your doorstep,” they added.

A man, in his 60s, was arrested on suspicious of murder on Sunday morning in Dereham Road, Norwich and he remains in custody.

Witnesses to the brutal attack said Tania appeared to have slash wounds on her neck.

Mrs Drake said: “She was so lovely. I can’t believe it’s happened. It doesn’t feel real.”

Tributes have flooded in and flowers have been left outside Tania’s home.

The Parish Church of Thorpe St Andrew have offered their condolences to Tania.

In a post on Facebook they said: “Our deep thoughts and prayers are very much with all the family of Tania Williams following her tragic death Saturday night, praying God’s blessing on them.

“On hearing the news our Rector travelled on the next train back from the south of and on his return the St Andrew’s flag was lowered to half mast.

“A large candle has been lit and placed in church as we remember the light that the darkness cannot overcome and the resurrection to which Tania has gone.

“She was a true evangelist of the gospel, encouraging and bringing others to faith with her uniquely colourful, kind and joyful persona. She was herself formally confirmed within the last Easter.

“May she rest in peace and rise in glory.”

A spokesperson for Police said: “Enquiries continue into the circumstances around the death of a woman in Thorpe St Andrew on Saturday 17 January.

“A man in his 60s remains in police custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning after being arrested in Dereham Road during the early hours of Sunday 18 January on suspicion of murder.

“Officers were called to Catherine Gardens just before 11.45pm on Saturday to reports a woman, in her 40s, was injured in the street. She was sadly declared dead at the scene and a murder investigation was launched.

“Police cordons remain in place at locations in Catherine Gardens and Yarmouth Road but road closures on Dereham Road and Yarmouth Road, between the Pound Lane and School Avenue junctions, have been lifted.”

Det Supt Stacey Murray of Norfolk Police, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation working to establish the sequence of events which led to the woman’s death.

“However, we do believe this to be an incident in which both parties were known to each other.

“We would urge anyone with information that could help the investigation, whether it concerns the incident itself or the events leading up to it, to get in touch.”
