ANGRY GINGE going to Q-School would be “good for the game”, according to ex-pro Matt Edgar.
The King of the Jungle recently revealed he could make a surprise appearance at Qualifying School next year, despite admitting he is not chasing a Tour Card.

Ginge, 24, explained he could attend the event in next year to test himself on the oche under intense pressure and against elite-level opposition.
A huge tungsten fan and close friend of , Ginge was recently at Ally Pally supporting ‘The Nuke’ during his World Championship triumph.
Former pro Edgar believes Ginge’s involvement could boost the sport’s profile and bring it to a wider audience.
He told the Mission Darts Podcast: “There’s a couple of things I’ll say on this. One, he has played a bit of darts.
“I’ve seen the video where he talks about it, and he says, ‘If I practice three hours a day.’ So he’s on about putting the time and the commitment into it to try and improve his game.
“He only averages about 55 at the minute.
“And he’s on about if he puts the time and commitment, which I think is a great story. Like, how good can he get? And I think it would put some eyes on it.”
Edgar reckons Ginge’s journey could show that darts is an accessible sport with a clear pathway to all.
He added: “I think it’d be good for the game as well if he was to show some progression from where he is now.
“Because what it’ll do is it’ll show people that it’s a potential avenue, and it’s an actual journey. So I’m all for it, to be honest. I’m all for it.”
Ginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwhistle, joined fellow Pieface (Jack McDermott) and Rebecca James — better known online as Bambino Becky — for Sky Sports’ Walk-On Experience in December at the Worlds.
Burtwhistle had no hesitation stepping into Littler’s space with three darts in hand, proudly sporting his own darts shirt and finishing the look with a pair of Lightning McQueen Crocs.
