A MUM has been left fuming after her daughter returned home from her second day back at school with scuffed, scruffy shoes.
Steph explained that she’d splashed out on some black, patent for herto wear for the new year.

However, just two days in to the term, and the shoes are already scuffed – with patches on the front missing from the patent finish.
“School mums, what we doing about this? What we doing about this?” Steph said in a video on her TikTok page.
“Because it’s been two days!
“My child has been in school Thursday, Friday, and her shoes already look like this.”
Steph added that while she knew it “would be inevitable” that the patent shoes would get scuffed at some point, she didn’t know it would happen so quickly.
“So what’s the alternative?” she continued.
“What are you buying the girls to wear for school? I don’t want her to wear trainers!
“Is there a brand of shoes that protects the front of them so that they don’t scuff like this after one wear? Help me!”
The comments section was immediately filled with parents offering their suggestions, with several recommending a £6 buy from .
“Clarks. They have something like a black nail polish that you paint on,” one person wrote.
“Works a treat!”
“Second this,” another agreed.
“I use this and it works wonders,” a third commented.
“Clarks have a wee thing for £6,” someone else wrote.
“It’s like nail polish for patent shoes, just apply it and leave it to dry.
“It’s magic!”

The product in question is Clarks’ Patent Leather Restorer in Black, which “returns your best-loved pairs to their former glory for a smart, fresh finish”.
One of the other most recommended solutions was for Steph to buy a pair of ToeZone shoes.
“ToeZone ones, got ours from Sainsbury’s,” one wrote.
“ToeZone shoes – my son’s pair lasted an entire school year,” another said.
“I get my daughter ToeZone – she’s got autism, runs around and climbs non stop and they last till her feet grow to the next size.
“Even then, they aren’t scuffed.
“They are also comfortable and don’t hurt her feet – even the brand new pairs don’t rub on her feet.”
