The 45-year-old appeared at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today.

She was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear next at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday.

The tragedy unfolded on March 2, 2025, when fire crews were dispatched to the property in Rusholme.

Lesma-Rose was rescued from the flames but, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

Paying tribute after her passing, the girl's family stated: “Lesma-Rose was the star of the family.

“Anyone who knew her recognized she was the most beautiful girl inside and out.

“She always wore a smile and had the ability to brighten the day of others.

“She was an exceptionally intelligent girl in her own unique ways, and she will be profoundly missed by everyone fortunate enough to know her.”
