
AN abusive mother inflicted cigarette burns on a young boy and compelled him to consume dog food while he was under her supervision.
Siann Cawley, 27, from Fleetwood, has been sentenced to four years and three months in prison after appearing at Preston Crown Court on October 7.

She admitted her guilt during a previous hearing on September 2, facing charges of assault, ill-treatment, neglect, and abandonment.
Although Cawley is a mother, the victim was not one of her children.
The court was informed that the boy endured multiple injuries while in Cawley's care over a three-week span.
Cawley reportedly extinguished cigarettes on the child and forced him to eat inappropriate food.
Additionally, he was confined to a room alone for hours while Cawley left the premises.
Cawley is currently serving her sentence at HMP Styal.
