Fenerbahce manager, Jose Mourinho, has claimed he would have won the Champions League with Chelsea, if UEFA had introduced the Video Assistant Referee, VAR.

Mourinho failed to win the biggest trophy in European club football across two spells at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking with Canal 11, the 62-year-old specifically highlighted the Blues’ semi-final clash against Liverpool in 2005.

According to Mourinho, they lost to the Reds, because there was “no goal-line technology”, in reference to Luis Garcia’s infamous “ghost goal”.

During his managerial career, Mourinho has lifted the Champions League title twice.

First, was with FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.

Mourinho also failed to win the Champions League at Real Madrid and Manchester United.
