THIS is the miraculous moment a stunned marine fighter pilot walked up to sheriff deputies after surviving a fiery F-18 crash.

His jet slammed into a mountainside in Rimrock, Washington, on June 13 during a training exercise.

Now, the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office has released the bodycam footage showing the lucky-to-be-alive pilot approaching officers moments after the crash.

The unidentified pilot assigned to Marine Aircraft Group 11, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing in Miramar, California, managed to eject and deploy his parachute before slamming into trees.

In the clip, he is seen calmly walking down the road to deputies with blood across his face, confirming he was the only pilot while also being on the phone to 911.

“I can see parachute lacerations,” the deputy said, before the dazed pilot confirmed, “Yeah, looks like I went through some trees on the way down.”

The jet slammed into the mountainside sending a plume of black smoke into the sky and sparking a wildfire.

The officer told colleagues on radio that fire teams had been deployed to the scene before asking the pilot what kind of aircraft it was.

“That’s an F- well, that was an F-18,” he replied.

“We were doing circles over the lake, doing some low-level training and then I tucked in, and I’m not sure exactly…honestly, I’m a little frazzled.”

“You hit the tree bad, bud,” a witness told the injured pilot in the clip.

“I went through the trees,” the pilot added.

Later, he was filmed making a phone call in which he calmly said, “Hey, buddy, I just crashed,” with video showing his parachute hanging from a tree.

Officials confirmed that he suffered minor lacerations to his face and that there had been a “non-fatal aviation mishap.”

An investigation into the crash is still underway and the pilot has not been named.
