Cissy Jones, a content manager at shop, who previously worked for PLT, has claimed she used to help create content for Molly-Mae, and swore by some key strategies.

In a clip on her @cissyjonestwopoin account, Cissy advised on how she ensured top and companies had the best content…

Essential camera setting

When snapping photos of the likes of Molly-Mae, Madison Bailey, Kehlani, and for brands like and PLT, Cissy said she “always” uses a key camera setting.

The social media manager claims that when you record a video, you should select “4K at 60fps (frames per second”.

She added that 120fps is a “dream” but uses a lot of storage, so she prefers to use 60fps and then imports into CapCut and increases the quality if needed.

The content manager added: “Be careful you don’t go too high quality on as sometimes TikTok doesn’t support this (such as the HD button on capcut, TikTok dislikes this!)

“If you wonder why your TikToks go blurry when you upload, your quality is likely too high for TikTok unfortunately (IG love any quality and that platform is fine!)”

She added that on your video camera settings, you should only ever have the “PAL formats” button selected if your camera is “flicking”, typically when there are heavy lights or spot lights.

Best time to post

Cissy claims to have helped grow PLT’s TikTok to 4,000 followers when they started out, and used to post at the same time each day.

She explained: “At the time the TikTok algorithm did work from best posting times (I always posted on their account after 3.30pm) so everyone was done from school.

“But that’s not a thing anymore! You can post anytime now (just not when everyone is asleep lol!)

“My fave time atm is 12pm.”

Treat TikTok differently

Cissy claims that you only have two seconds before people swipe on your TikTok page, and so you need to be smart about your content.

She explained: “I only ever (if I could) post what myself and YOU would want to see… you have 2 seconds before they swipe… no one wants to see something what looks like an AD.

“TikTok is fun and quick unlike IG, they both serve a different purpose so don’t treat them the same! EVER.”

She claimed that you should not try to sell on TikTok unless it is from TikTok shop.

Cissy explained: “You just want the engagement so don’t plug anything directly, just wear a product, make something fun = engagement = people seeing your brand and product.”

How to grow followers

Cissy swears by doing “trial reels” as a key strategy for growth.

The feature lets creators test a Reel with people who don’t follow them yet before deciding whether to show it to their followers.

The social media whizz explained: “Someone I know got 50,000 followers off the back of trial reels, and no one sees it either. It just goes out to a complete new audience.

“If you don’t want people to see your content of you, like, trying this or doing a haul, and you feel a bit embarrassed, do on trial reels.

“Your friends and family are not gonna see it unless it kind of blows up. And they might potentially see it, but doesn’t get pushed out to them.”

She added that if it does well, you can add your trial reel to your feed at a later date.

To be most successful, she advised that you upload a trial reel every day and you can experiment with different styles, such as new intros or layouts.

Find your familiar background

Cissy advised that followers like to see a background they are used to, so you should aim to try out a few options to find out what does best for you.

Although she said you should try to switch it up now and then, she added: “Mine’s always my kitchen.

“But my friend, her style does really well when she’s in the car.

“One of my other friends, she’s always in the living room, and it just does really well.”

Use people with a strong fan base

Her final tip, if you are posting for a company, is to feature someone with a strong following.

She explained: “TikTokers have a FAN base.”

Hailing them as the “next big things”, she said using them on your page will cause your engagement to “sky rocket.”

What is the TikTok Creator Fund?

ACCORDING to the TikTok official website, the Creator Fund "gives TikTok's best and brightest the opportunity to earn money with their creative talent."

While it is not a grant or ad revenue program, the Creator Fund provides payment to qualified TikTokers based on a “variety of factors” across their content.

“We want all creators to have the opportunity to earn money doing what they love and turn their passion into a livelihood,” the website continues.

With no limit on the number of qualified TikTokers who can join the fund, payments may increase or decrease at different times throughout one’s run on the platform.

Some factors affecting the funds a qualified TikToker may earn include number of authentic views per video, the amount of engagement, and whether or not the work falls within the Community Guidelines.
