Police have initiated an urgent search for a missing teenager who disappeared from a bustling town.

Worries are escalating for 14-year-old Cayden Sweeney from Dovecot, Liverpool, who was last seen yesterday afternoon.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the young boy has connections to Liverpool city center.

The schoolboy was reported missing around 1 PM yesterday.

Investigations are ongoing to locate Cayden, who was last seen wearing a black Nike jacket and tracksuit bottoms.

The teenager was also wearing black trainers and had a bag with him at the time of his disappearance.

He is described as approximately 6 feet tall, slim, and has blonde hair.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the youth has ties to Kensington, Southport, and Liverpool city center.

In a statement shared on social media, the police stated: “Please share and assist us in finding a missing teenager from Dovecot.

“Cayden Sweeney, age 14, was reported missing around 1 PM today (Thursday, October 9).

“Investigations are ongoing to locate him. He is described as about 6 feet tall, with a slim build, blonde hair, and green eyes.

“When he was last seen, he was wearing a black Nike jacket and tracksuit bottoms, black trainers, and carrying a bag.

“Cayden has connections to Kensington, the city center, and Southport.

“If you see Cayden, please call 999 so we can ensure his safety.”
