The Tigers travelled to the Den following the goalless draw at the MKM Stadium last week.
Mohamed Belloumi gave the visitors the advantage in the second half with a tremendous curling effort from the edge of the box.
The night got even better for the Yorkshire-based club as Joe Gelhardt prodded past Anthony Patterson to make it 2-0 in the 79th minute.
The South London side were rocked and unable to save themselves from another season in England’s second tier.
Hull will not have to wait to see who they will face at Wembley, with Middlesbrough and Southampton facing off tomorrow evening.
