Shocking moment Millwall fan is punched and kicked before being dragged away by security in Charlton home end

A MILLWALL fan was punched and kicked before being dragged away by security.

The bloke managed to work his way into the home end at arch-rivals Charlton for the lunchtime kick-off.

And he did so wearing Millwall colours.

The fan appeared kissed the badge and got into a shouting match with some home supporters.

A few angry locals attempted to get at the brave fan, who was protected by a friend.

More and more followers closed in on him in the stand.

And when he had his back turned, one hooded man kicked him in the back.

The man refused to react and tried to walk up the staircase at The Valley.

However, more Charlton fans blocked his path, launched missiles at him and then shoved him down the steps.

Three stewards tried to grab him and pull him to safety.

But as they did so, another fan cruelly punched him in the head before others joined in.

The supporter – who looked to be wearing a Millwall home shirt from 2024-25 – stayed on his feet and looked largely unfazed by the attacks.

He was then marched along the front of the stand.

Plenty of home fans hurled abuse at the intruder.

But the travelling Millwall fans applauded their fellow Lions supporter as he walked towards the away end.

The incident sparked plenty of reaction on social media.

One user wrote: “Millwall fan in the home end, goes well for him.”

Another added: “He walked out laughing, without a scratch – went very well for him.”

A third said: “Walked out like a king he did, surrounded and perfectly fine.”

Before the game, That Millwall Podcast tweeted a reminder to their fans what to do if anyone is nicked by the police.

The podcast – which has more than 9,000 X followers – posted: “Remember if you’re arrested today the only thing to say is Please Call Football Law Assoc or call.

“SAVE THE NUMBER 0333 939 0063.

“NEVER SAY ANYTHING TO POLICE WITH SPEAKING TO A BRIEF FRIST!

“Remember posting those certain type of video for Likes gets your fellow fans nicked.”

Charlton’s long wait for a victory over neighbours Millwall goes on.

The Addicks have not beaten the Lions since 1996 but led 1-0 with two minutes to go, despite being down to ten men.

However, Raees Bangura-Williams grabbed an 88th-minute equaliser for the visitors to snatch a draw in the clash.
