Mikel Arteta’s 16-year-old son participated in a match for Arsenal’s Under-17s last week.

The Gunners manager, 43, is a father to three children: Gabriel, 16, Daniel, 13, and Oliver, 10.

Gabriel Arteta has previously been seen around Arsenal facilities.

Gabriel Arteta Bernal is not currently believed to be under contract.

However, according to Gunners youth blogger Jeorge Bird , the teenager played as Arsenal’s Under-17s faced Watford on October 1.

The two teams competed in the Premier League Cup, resulting in a 3-3 draw.

Unlike his father, Gabriel is reported to play as a right winger.

If he signs a contract, the 16-year-old would be classified as a first-year scholar.

This is not the first instance of Gabriel being observed at the Arsenal training facility.

In 2023, he was seen on the training pitch during the Gunners’ pre-season tour in the United States.

At just 14 years old, Gabriel did not participate in the training sessions.

Instead, he appeared to observe alongside coaching staff while wearing Arsenal gear emblazoned with his initials.
