"Three of Five Arrested NYPD Officers Linked to Sex Assault Cover-Up Identified as Freemasons"

THREE out of five Metropolitan Police officers arrested on suspicion of concealing a sexual assault are members of the Freemasons, The Sun has uncovered.

Connections between a detective sergeant accused of assaulting a female colleague and two other officers alleged to have suppressed the case are currently under investigation.

A police source stated, “There is no evidence that their Masonic affiliations had any connection to the alleged incident.”

The female police constable lodged a complaint regarding the incident at a party and subsequently questioned why no action had been taken against the officer she claims assaulted her.

It is believed that her case was ultimately dismissed by a local professional standards unit.

One source remarked, “There is no evidence that their Masonic connections influenced the events in question. However, the fact that three out of the five officers are Freemasons could create a perception that favors were being exchanged.”

“The Masonic affiliations are being examined as part of the inquiry to determine if they had any impact on the case.”

The Sun previously reported that five senior detectives from the North West were arrested in August.

All of them were released on bail and are understood to strongly deny any wrongdoing.

The Metropolitan Police declined to provide a comment.

Last week, it was noted that the force is “strengthening our policies, including bringing the membership of secret societies into the open.”

This comment, which hinted at Freemasonry, was made in response to an incident where an undercover reporter recorded officers making inappropriate remarks.
