She explained: “I have an autoimmune condition, which causes me to experience severe inflammation, and I am focusing on healing.
“In the past three months, I completed a meditation teacher training course.
“Unfortunately, I was too unwell to finish it; I couldn't participate in the last two days.
“It's meditation teacher training; I don’t necessarily plan to teach, but I can practice…
“For the most part, I’ve been leading a very spiritual life.”
Mel and the chef co-hosted the show Let’s Do Lunch with Gino and Mel from 2011 to 2014.
Last April, she revealed that she had also been diagnosed with a heart condition and connected her struggles to allegations of inappropriate and intimidating behavior against Gino, which he has “firmly denied.”
Speaking on her channel, Mel stated: “I entered the New Year with so much energy.
“I’ve had to slow down due to my heart condition, which developed during the whole Gino D’Acampo situation that was in the news.
“Suddenly, my stress levels skyrocketed because I left that industry years ago, but it won’t leave me alone.”
