“I actually do ask questions all the time.

“I send her voice notes on things that I’m confused about and I wrote a song on her album.”

She was talking at Music’s International Women’s Month celebration in Battersea on Thursday night, where British star Mahalia also opened up about how life changes have influenced her upcoming third album.

She explained: “I broke up with my long-term partner of five years at the start of last year.

“I parted ways with my partner and I parted ways with some really close friends that I needed to part ways with. I’ve kind of been privately cutting the dead weight.

“So this third album feels like my own little love story to myself of all that.

“I’ve had a year of heartbreak, so the album is reflective of that.”

Dave admitted: “I’ve been in therapy six days a week for 70 weeks  . . . over 430 sessions.

“There were so many things that led me to this therapy.

“Writing songs about these things is sometimes enough.

“As far as having a deeper conversation about them, I still do reserve a lot of this for my own personal life, as impersonal and public as it may seem.

“But for many reasons, I wound up in a place that I needed to stop and re-evaluate myself.”

has announced a string of shows in as part of his Bully world tour – and it has conveniently left a space for Wireless Festival.

I that the Touch The Sky rapper, who now goes by the name Ye, was in talks to headline all three days of the event at London’s Finsbury Park.

Ye, who will release his new record Bull next Friday, will kick off his tour in Istanbul on May 30, then play several other European dates.

Wireless organisers have yet to confirm when this year’s festival will be.

But given there is a gap in Ye’s schedule in July . . . I expect an announcement will be imminent.

Go with the FLO

WE finally have a great new British girl group to get behind, as FLO have stepped things up with fantastic new single, Leak It.

The trio – whose debut album Access All Areas came out in 2024 – have delivered a brilliant slice of pop with the track, which dropped yesterday, and they clearly put everything into making the music video, too.

It shows Jorja Douglas, Stella Quaresma and Renee Downer go to a “private residence where we turn irrelevance into relevance”.

And after exercising with hunky guys and being trained in how to stir a scandal, the video ends with the line: “Congratulations, you have completed the programme. You are now a relevant girl band.”

They certainly deserve to be.

Myles delivers message

MYLES SMITH will drop his album My Mess, My Heart, My Life on June 12 before his biggest tour this autumn.

He said: “This album is the most honest thing I’ve ever made.

“The title really says it all – it’s about the mess, the heart and the life that sits around it.

“These songs come from moments I never thought I’d share. Nights that felt endless, mornings that felt like starting over, memories that will always stay with me.”

Tickets go on sale next Friday for the nine-date UK and Ireland tour, starting at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena on November 7.
