It’s a week of history making, with the 250th St Leger set to take centre stage at the weekend.

On Thursday, though, it’s not impossible Sir Mark will shine just a few days after he took Kentucky Downs by storm with Tiffany’s success in the Kentucky Turf Cup International Stakes.
If Sir Mark makes it in person to Town Moor he might turn to his stable jockey Luke Morris for some peace and say: “I think we’re alone now.”
But he’d be wrong as I’ll be there as well.
Watch out, Sir Mark!
Prescott saddles CONSENT in the Group 2 Betfred Park Hill Fillies’ Stakes over an extended 1m6f.
Consent won’t be favourite, and the daughter of Lope de Vega has not been at her best of late, having ground to make up on Waardah from their effort at Goodwood last time.
However, conditions are ideal for his Group 1 heroine – winner of the 2025 Prix de Royallieu and she gets cheekpieces for the first time which might just spark her up a bit.
I’ll chance her each-way and Sir Mark has never won this race so it’s about time he did.
The Park Hill is one of fives races on ITV Racing this afternoon, with the action getting under way with a nursery handicap for juveniles over an extended 6f.
When I was at Windsor on Monday Richard Spencer and Saffie Osborne picked out SPEED OF SOUND as a horse they were really looking forward to running at Doncaster this week.
The daughter of Sioux Nation was a decent winner at Yarmouth two runs ago and then was far from disgraced albeit well stuffed by the Group 1 winner Sun Goddess in a valuable event at York.
She acts with a bit of juice in the ground and is clearly highly regarded having had some fancy entries along the way.
Must have a decent chance.
Next there is a sales race for youngsters over an extended 6f.
I can’t see any reason why NIGHT IN VEGAS won’t take all the beating for Charlie Bishop and Eve Johnson Houghton.
Rated 102 and only having to carry 8st 11lb, my hope is a clear pick on form and he banged in a similar event to this at Newmarket last time.
Prior to that he was third in the Group 2 Richmond Stakes and a fine fifth to Great Barrier Reef in the Coventry at Royal Ascot.
It’s his to lose.
If competition is what you like then take a glance at the handicap for 3yos over 1m2f.
BOURBON BLUES probably doesn’t have anything in hand off a handicap mark of 101 but he’s bang in form for Brian Meehan and Ryan Moore.
A fine sixth at Royal Ascot in the Golden Gates Handicap, the son of Space Blues was an excellent second at Glorious Goodwood and a slightly hampered third to Raammee at York.
That’s decent handicap form and he goes on any ground.
A decent each-way selection.
Finally, Group 2 Betfred May Hill for 2yos over 1m.
BALLYSKEAGH appears to be a very strong stayer at this trip and finished off really well at the Curragh last time in Group 3 company.
She was held on to that day but prior to that had looked very happy going forward so tactics are not important to her.
The daughter of Gleaneagles will need more here, but she’s progressing nicely and at the time of writing is an eachway price.
I find it hard to kick her out the frame and she can easily win.
Joseph O’Brien trains with Joey Sheridan on top.
Let’s do this.
Good luck!
