The 3-0 loss to a club sitting second bottom of the French top flight was labelled “disgraceful and catastrophic” from the French-based newspaper while the attitude of the players was slammed as “shameful.”
Marseille now sit SEVENTH in the league and are looking increasingly likely to miss out on the spots with just two games to go.
But as things stand and Co will not even qualify for the or via the league due to their poor run of form and current position.
And La Provence have taken aim by scoring every player a ZERO rating with Greenwood receiving a brutal write up.
Get French Football News report that the French outlet said: “It’s easy to see why English football’s enfant terrible found himself on the bench last Sunday.
“Whilst player are quick to throw around the term ‘professional misconduct’ at the drop of a hat, Greenwood’s behaviour on Saturday was indeed a clear case of it.
“Scandalous from start to finish, he saw fit to stroll about after countless turnovers, whine when his team-mates didn’t pass to him, or act as if he were in a circus by attempting unnecessary tricks for his own amusement whilst the club’s financial future was at stake.
“In other circumstances, he would have deserved half a point for at least managing to tie his boots.”
