MASON GREENWOOD has become the first Marseille player to score four goals in a single Ligue 1 match since 1991 – yet he still received a harsh wake-up call from his manager.
The 24-year-old was the standout performer in a dominant 6-2 victory against Le Havre for the French club.

“He has consistently scored a lot of goals and has never missed a training session. However, there is still room for improvement.”
In his last ten appearances, Greenwood has netted seven goals and provided four assists across all competitions.
De Zerbi went on to draw comparisons between Greenwood and two of the top current French footballers.
He added: “If he wants to become a top player, he needs to improve his movement off the ball.”
“I’ve seen [Kylian] Mbappe and [Ousmane] Dembele pressing effectively without the ball, and Greenwood needs to adopt that approach as well.”
The striker – who faced serious allegations of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control in January 2022 – was transferred last summer to in a deal that earned his former club Manchester United £23.3 million.
Greenwood was released by United following pressure from domestic abuse advocates when the in February 2023.
