ARSENAL youngster Marli Salmon has caught the attention of the Gunners fan base once again – this time with some cheeky skill.

Salmon, 16, made playing for the U21s look easy with some mid-game juggling as ‘s U21s thumped Reading 4-1 on Monday night.

Centre-back Salmon, , was captaining the academy side during their dominant away display.

And the teenager even had time for some showboating when his team were 4-1 up and cruising towards the final whistle at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Salmon received a pass in acres of space and decided to flick the ball up and start doing keep-ups before sending a pass back to goalkeeper Jack Porter.

Reading ace Reece Evans was less than impressed and clattered straight into the back of Salmon after he released the ball, sending the Young Gun straight to the floor and earning himself a yellow card.

Salmon, however, got straight back to his feet and laughed off the interaction.

Arsenal fans online were loving Salmon’s antics and took to social media to react.

One labelled it as “Savagery”, while another added: “Give him a professional contract asap.”

And a third posted: “There’s no way he did that. Marli Salmon is going straight to the top.”

Salmon has been tipped for big things in N5 and has featured three times for the first team already this ter,m, making substitute cameos against Club Brugge in the and Wigan and in the .

He is currently tied down to scholarship terms with the Gunners and will be eligible to pen a professional contract when he turns 17 in August.

Salmon is also regularly called up to train with the first team.

Arsenal U21s extended their unbeaten run to five games with their 4-1 victory over Reading on Monday in a game that saw January deadline day signing .

Mooney, 18, brilliantly intercepted a pass from Reading youngster Phillip Duah on the halfway line, before striding just inside the Reading half and unleashing a stunning strike to put Arsenal 1-0 up from distance.

Arsenal were without academy star for the game, with the midfielder still yet to return to competitive action after suffering an ankle injury in November.

Meanwhile Jaden Dixon, 18, started at right-back following his

Andre Harriman-Annous and joined Mooney on the scoresheet with second-half strikes, alongside a Duah own goal.

Reading’s Jerae Jones was the only goalscorer for the hosts as the Royals saw their own four-match winning streak come to a crashing end.
