Nasarawa United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, has praised his players’ discipline in the President Federation Cup Round of 64 win over Westgate FC.

The Solid Miners beat Westgate FC 3-1 at the Late Prince Abubakar Audu Sports Complex in Lokoja on Tuesday.

Mangut admitted that the encounter was tough against the non-league side.

“We stayed true to our structure, stayed patient, and took our chances when they came — that’s what Cup football demands; no room for complacency,” Mangut told Nasarawa United’s media team.

“The opponents today were quick and tough, but we were the better side.”

Mangut has now urged his players to shift their focus to the final game of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.

Nasarawa United will lock horns with Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano this weekend.

“We take each game as it comes. For now, our attention shifts to the league’s last game of the season in Kano.”
