LISANDRO MARTINEZ expressed his frustration at Manchester United’s “disappointing” home performance following their 1-1 draw against bottom-placed Wolves.
From 19 Premier League matches this season, they are struggling to secure a spot in the top four.

United has now lost nine points in their last five games over the past six weeks.
The draw against Wolves marked the sixth occasion this season where United took a 1-0 lead and failed to win.
In the absence of the injured Bruno Fernandes, Martinez stated: “I am really disappointed. We cannot afford to draw at home in this match.”
“We must secure victories when playing at home. The opposing team should feel pressured, and we failed to earn the three points. It’s very frustrating.”
“The team put in maximum effort. For a brief moment, we conceded just before halftime, which can happen. We must accept responsibility for that.”
“Wolves do not deserve their current position; they are a strong team. We respect them. We need to take more risks.”
“The players are very disappointed; we expect more from ourselves. We have to accept this result and focus on the next match.”
United was missing eight players, but the manager declined to use this as an excuse, noting that United previously defeated Newcastle on Boxing Day despite seven players being unavailable.
Amorim, 40, remarked: “We did not use that excuse against Newcastle.”
“We will not use it today, but of course, if you analyze the game, you can see why we played the way we did, lacking fluidity and one-on-one opportunities.”
“We knew this would be a completely different game compared to Newcastle because we had more space to play against them.”
“Today, we struggled to create opportunities, and that was evident.”
After abandoning his 3-4-2-1 formation for the match against Newcastle in favor of a back four, Amorim reverted to a back three against Wolves.
However, the Portuguese manager replaced United's goalscorer with 18-year-old Jack Fletcher at halftime, switching the team to a 4-2-3-1 formation.
When asked about his decision to return to the 3-4-2-1 setup at kickoff, Amorim explained: “We anticipated they would play with five at the back and utilize the width.”
“Today was about executing that strategy and sometimes building up with (Patrick Dorgu) either opening up or closing down depending on the situation.”
“We aimed to create the right scenarios based on our current circumstances.”
