MANCHESTER UNITED’S 2025-26 sponsorship massively backfired in spectacular fashion.

The Red Devils feature tech firm Snapdragon on the front of their shirts.

The American company – part of Qualcomm – creates system chips to run Android smartphones and tablets plus many Windows laptops.

But United and Snapdragon added a specific deal for the current campaign.

And that was so that the logo of Microsoft’s new laptop range, the Copilot+PC, also appeared on the famous United shirt, seen by millions around the world.

The details of the agreement, though, have left red-faced.

The Copilot+PC logo appeared on the back of the men’s first-team shirts for competitive matches in all domestic cup matches this season.

However, that proved to be just the minimum of two games.

United lost at the first hurdle of the Carabao Cup in the back in August.

Ruben Amorim’s flops were held to a 2-2 draw before losing 12-11 in a tense, dramatic penalty shootout.

Then in the FA Cup third round, again United’s opening game in the competition, they were dumped out.
