Caragh, the daughter of ROY KEANE, has shared how her struggle with lupus motivated her to start her own business, just a few years after the condition left her unable to get out of bed.
The 29-year-old was diagnosed with the auto-immune disease in 2021 at the young age of 25, after experiencing symptoms such as blistered skin, painful joints, and hair loss.

The educator was confined to bed due to the debilitating symptoms and had to decline her “dream job” at her former school in Manchester, which left her “mourning” the life she could have had.
Now, Caragh, one of five children raised by the legendary Keane and his wife Theresa Doyle, is on the path to recovery.
She stated that her struggle with the illness inspired the development of her product.
Caragh mentioned that her inability to engage in sports prompted her to explore alternative methods for maintaining her health, particularly focusing on gut health.
She told talkSport : “About five years ago, I began experiencing symptoms, ranging from extremely painful joints to hair loss and blistered skin.
“I initially thought it was due to stress. I was teaching, and I kept thinking, ‘I’m just really tired’. I was even falling asleep while driving and things like that.
“I thought, ‘This is a bit odd’. But I kept telling myself, ‘Let’s see how it goes. It must be stress’.
“Until I reached a point where I physically couldn’t move and was essentially bed-bound for about three months. I couldn’t teach. I was always quite active and loved sports.
“It was really shocking when I found myself unable to do those things anymore, which led me to start researching gut health and overall wellness.
“Before my diagnosis, I hadn’t even heard of lupus. So, it was a real shock to learn about it.”
Caragh has three sisters – Alanna, Shannon, and Leah – and one brother, Aidan.
The Keane children were often kept out of the spotlight during their childhood, but both of her parents have been very involved in the launch of her business.
She added: “They have been incredibly supportive. We have a food event this weekend in Dublin.

“My mom and I attend all the food events together. I truly enjoy that part of it and interacting with people.
“They have been a part of every aspect, providing emotional support and checking in on me.
“They ask, ‘How are you doing?’ I cherish spending time with my family, so I bring them along to these food events.”
Last year, pundit Keane shared boxes of SuperKeen with colleagues Gary Neville and Ian Wright while recording the Stick to Football podcast.
He expressed: “My daughter Caragh has started a company focused on health products. I am very proud.”
Wright responded: “I’m genuinely happy for her considering what she’s been through, and I’m not just saying this, it tastes great. I’m really pleased for her.”
