Solskjaer’s visit comes just weeks after he was dismissed by Turkish club Besiktas following a disappointing seven-month tenure.

The Manchester Evening News confirmed that Solskjaer was at Portman Road specifically to support Ipswich manager McKenna.

The two worked closely together, with McKenna serving as Solskjaer’s assistant during his tenure at Old Trafford.

McKenna was initially promoted to the first-team coaching staff under Jose Mourinho and remained when Solskjaer took over in 2018.
