RIO FERDINAND has issued a six-point rallying cry to Manchester United ahead of their clash with Bournemouth.

The Red Devils are in crisis following SEVEN GAMES without a win in all competitions.

And there’s dissension in the ranks, with and publicly bashing the club brass and Carrick’s tactics.

Defeat to The Cherries may very well be the straw that breaks the camel’s back and could prompt to wield the axe.

And club legend insists the only way the team will stop the rot is if they come together and start putting in the hard yards.

In a video on his YouTube channel , the 47-year-old said: “Go out and work hard.

“Go out and fight; don’t be outrun, don’t be outmuscled and win your one-vs-one duels.”

United’s running stats for this season – which are the SECOND LOWEST in the Prem – suggest that several players have been coasting this campaign.

But Ferdinand wants to see an end to that mentality, roaring: “Go and play like it’s the last game you’re ever going to play for the team.

“Because that’s what it needs now. That’s the energy it needs; that’s the mindset it needs; that’s the focus it needs.

“It’s not about any one individual; it’s about a collective.

“It’s about the team getting results now and turning it around.

“And the first thing you do in these situations when things aren’t going well is you go out there and you pull together and you work hard.

“You do nothing that’s gonna separate you.

“Everything you do is about bringing you together, ’cause you can only win games when you’re together and you’re as a group.”

Carrick, who was permanently appointed as ‘s successor in May, has been left frustrated by his troops’ displays this season and admits the Old Trafford faithful have every right to be up in arms.

He wrote in today’s match programme: “ is a truly great club.

“Our standards and values have been set out over generations and are very important to me.

“As a group, we have a duty to represent you in a manner that is befitting of those principles.

“Wednesday’s performance was extremely disappointing in many ways.

“Today, as we return to the Premier League to face Bournemouth, we have to show what we are all about.

“We all need to stick together, but we know that we absolutely have to do better for you, our incredible supporters, and our special football club.

“We know that, despite everyone’s frustrations, you’ll be at Old Trafford backing the team once again.

“Now, as a group, we need to put in a performance that your support deserves.”
