Anderson is undoubtedly a player who could enhance United, and he showcased his talent impressively at the City Ground.
Casemiro scored his second goal in consecutive games, but overlooking Anderson while considering an extension for Casemiro would reflect poorly, reminiscent of the Ed Woodward era.
Anderson started strong for Forest, skillfully dribbling out of a tight situation in the fifth minute and delivering a penetrating pass into the United half.
This set Forest on the offensive in a match where Amorim speculated they might adopt a more defensive approach against United. Anderson's proactive play earned the first enthusiastic applause of the afternoon.

Nonetheless, Anderson displayed both talent and determination against United. He was fouled three times, which is a compliment in itself.
His precise pass to the right side allowed Forest to create space for Ryan Yates, who equalized in the 48th minute.
Anderson dominated his ground duels, made three key passes, and concluded the match with a 74 percent passing accuracy.
Interestingly, Anderson’s average position was right at the halfway line, demonstrating a good balance between defense and attack.
United may need to recruit two or three midfielders next year.
Casemiro is expected to be released, and Bruno Fernandes hinted at making a decision after the World Cup; he was an unused substitute for the third time this season against Forest.
Mainoo’s opportunities in the final weeks of the summer transfer window were blocked, but Amorim is not viewing him as a valuable asset.
The 21-year-old has not started a Premier League match since May 25, with his only start this season occurring during United's disappointing match against Grimsby.
It was less than 18 months ago that Mainoo earned a spot in the England squad for the quarter and semi-finals, as well as the final of the European Championship.
