The force said they had made a “number of attempts” to arrest Traore in the hours but now need help from the public to track him down.

Jenny Birch, from the Homicide team, said: “This was a violent attack in the street which has sadly resulted in the death of Yassin.

“Yassin’s family have been left absolutely devastated by what has happened, and we are doing everything we can to support them, and to give them answers.

“We need to find and arrest Traore as soon as possible. If anyone sees him, or has information about where he might be, they should not approach him but call us straight away on 999, quoting log 3135 of 16 November.”

Cops added that Section 60 powers were enforced from 4pm today and will be in place until 7am on Tuesday.
