ERLING HAALAND kept up the pressure on Arsenal by settling any Etihad nerves against Brentford.

After a goalless first half, frustration was just beginning to grow at the prospect of dropping more points.

However, Jeremy Doku stepped up with yet another fine curling effort, breaking the deadlock on the hour mark.

And 15 minutes later, Haaland bundled a backheel over the line to wrap up the points.

Omar Marmoush rolled in his second Premier League goal of the season into the bottom corner during injury time.

It leaves City two points behind leaders Arsenal with both teams having played 35.

But the Gunners can restore a five-point gap when they travel to West Ham tomorrow.
