A MAN has been charged with murder after a beloved dad was shot dead at a traveller site.
Jimmy Ward, 36, was declared dead at the scene of the incident near Cricklade, Wiltshire, at about 8.15am on Sunday.

Wiltshire Police said Shane Porter, of Calcutt Park, Calcutt, has been charged with Mr Ward’s murder and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
He has been remanded in custody and is to appear before magistrates via videolink on Thursday.
Eddie Porter, 74, and Tammy Brown, 42, both of Luton, Befordshire, have each been charged with assisting an offender and possession of a shotgun without a certificate.
They have also been remanded in custody and are to appear before magistrates via videolink on Thursday.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker, who passed on his condolences to Mr Ward’s next of kin, said: “A scene and increased policing presence will remain at the site in the coming days while further activity is carried out.
“I’d like to express again my thanks to the local community for their patience and support since Sunday.
“I appreciate the significant concern this incident has generated, so please consider speaking with officers about any information or concerns you may have.”
The force said that two other men who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on bail.
