A MAN was charged with attempted murder yesterday after a gun was fired at a car, seriously injuring a victim.
William Scammell, 24, from , is due to appear before the city’s magistrates today.

He is also charged with possessing a shortened shotgun after the incident in Speedwell, Bristol, at 1.50pm on Wednesday.
The victim, a man in his 20s, remains in hospital with serious injuries.
A man and a woman, both in their 20s, were also arrested on Thursday on suspicion of assisting an offender.
said they have been released on bail.
Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Jess Aston said: “We understand this has been a very shocking and concerning incident
“But we would like to reassure the public that this remains a priority investigation for us.
“Neighbourhood officers continue to conduct high-visibility reassurance patrols in the area.
