A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service stated: “We were alerted at 2:10 AM today (4 January) regarding reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.
“We dispatched resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response vehicles, and an incident response officer.
“We also sent a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated two individuals and transported them to the hospital.”
A statement from the police read: “On Sunday, 4 January at 02:15 hours, officers were called to reports of a shooting on Broadway, Bexleyheath.
“Officers arrived alongside the London Ambulance Service, which treated a 30-year-old man for a gunshot wound before transporting him to the hospital. We are awaiting an update on his condition.
“A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder at the scene. He was taken to the hospital due to his injuries.
“Anyone with information that may assist the police is urged to call 101 quoting CAD 630/04Jan.”
