A MAN has been arrested after a schoolgirl was left with “life-changing injuries” after being mauled by a suspected XL Bully.

Her mother, Alicia, described the horrific moment the hound “ran towards” her daughter last November.
The dog bit Eva’s left leg, latching on and locking its jaw around the youngster’s limb during the attack.
She was later rushed to hospital, staying there for 11 days and undergoing two rounds of surgery.
Alicia told BirminghamLive : “My daughter suffered life‑changing injuries.
“It came for Eva and showed no interest in me or the people trying to get it off her. It was horrendous.
“Eva was taken by ambulance to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where she underwent two surgeries and spent 11 days as an inpatient.”
Eva’s older sister was alerted and ran from her home after hearing her little sister’s screams.
She saw the horrific scene and dialled 999 just as two men managed to free Eva from the hound’s jaws by “hitting it with everything”.
Another bystander later emerged with towels to staunch Eva’s bleeding.
Alicia said her daughters screams of “I’m going to die” will haunt her forever.
The aftermath of the vicious mauling has left both Eva and her mum traumatised.

The force has since arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with the incident.
It said: “A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being the owner or person in charge allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control.
“He has since been bailed as our investigation continues.
“We’re continuing to update the family as our enquiries continue.
