A mass demonstration was taking place today in solidarity of a woman raped in a racially-aggravated attack. The victim, in her 20s and of Sikh faith, was walking to work when she was attacked by two men who dragged her into bushes in parkland off Tame Road, Oldbury.
A MAN has been arrested over the rape of a Sikh woman in a racially aggravated attack.
The man in his 30s was detained on Sunday evening as part of the investigation and remains in custody, police say.

Officers were called on Tuesday after a Sikh woman in her 20s reported being attacked by two white men in Oldbury, West Midlands.
She said a racist remark was made to her during the horrific attack.
Ch Supt Kim Madill, of Sandwell Police, said: “This is a significant development in the investigation and we want to thank the community for their continuing support.
“The investigation remains on-going and we would urge people not to speculate as we work to identify and trace all those who may have been involved.”
