DOZENS of firefighters are battling an inferno that has brought down a historic building and put a major UK train station at risk.
The blaze is understood to have started at a vape shop in central earlier this afternoon.

tore through the store before gripping the buildings around Glasgow Central Station, with the B-listed Forsyth building partially collapsing.
Dozens of train services have been cancelled with busiest station now closed until further notice.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene and desperately tried to bring the blaze under control.
Around 60 firefighters are currently battling the flames, which are reportedly spreading towards the historic station.
A number of businesses and nearby have been evacuated as crews continue to tackle the inferno, which is threatening to spread to the surrounding buildings.
Fifteen fire appliances and specialist resources, including three high-reach vehicles and a water rescue team, remain at the scene.
People have been urged to avoid the area if possible as residents are urged to keep their windows closed.
A spokesperson said: “Firefighters continue to work to extinguish a large building fire on Union Street, Glasgow.
“At its height, 15 fire appliances and specialist resources, including three high-reach vehicles and a water rescue team, were mobilised to the area.
“We were first alerted at 3.46pm on Sunday, 8 March, to reports of a fire affecting the ground floor of a four-storey commercial building.

“There are no reported casualties, and crews remain at the scene.”
Crowds are gathered at the edge of cordons on nearby Renfield Street to watch on as the fire ripped through the city centre structure.
Images and video of the have been shared to social media with dozens of posts showing the historic city centre building burn.
Flames and smoke can be seen billowing from the windows and collapsed roof of the building.
Some images – captured by a drone – show firefighters on a crane spraying water through a hole in the roof into the interior of the burning building.
Harrowing pictures and video show the iconic dome of the Forsyth building entirely consumed by bright orange flames.
Initially smoke poured from a building next to an entrance to the station but within hours the flames had spread to engulf the Forsyth building.
The inferno has now been burning for some five hours and appears to still be burning.
Eyewitnesses said they watched in horror as the corner dome of the iconic building collapsed.
People at the scene reported that all four storeys of the building appear to currently still be standing.
Several within the Forsyth building have been destroyed with their owners taking to social media to say they had been completely engulfed by the intense fire.
Labour MSP Paul Sweeney posted to social media to say that he had seen the building – which he said dated to 1851 – collapse.
First Minister has also taken to social media to say he is “deeply concerned” by the blaze.
There are currently no reported casualties as a result of the inferno.
