According to him, “the purpose of the American representatives currently in Nigeria is not to confirm that Muslims have been disproportionately affected by terror attacks and fatalities… but to selectively engage the Christian community and pressure groups in order to draft their report from a one-sided perspective.”
Shehu additionally claimed that the U.S. is advocating for significant legal and religious modifications in northern Nigeria.
He stated that Washington’s alleged intention to eliminate Sharia provisions from state laws is, in his opinion, “a clear indication that America and its local and international instigators are merely disguising themselves behind ‘Fulani terrorists, Fulani kidnappers, ISWAP, Boko Haram.”
He concluded, “but the true aim is to intimidate Muslims, extort, kill, injure, dispossess, and render them refugees so that they can exploit the vast mineral resources buried throughout the North.”
