Talking to the camera with the hook still attached to his eye, Cam remarked: “OK, do you want a fishing story that you simply cannot make up?

“I just reeled in the line, and the hook seemed to, um yeah -“, he said while directing the camera towards his eye.

“So, did I catch anything? Yes, my eyelid. Anyway, um, wish me luck.”

Cam continued filming as he tried to remove the hook from his eye, explaining: “Actually, I might use this as a mirror to see if I can get it out of my eyelid.”

The star, who went fishing to bond with his son, successfully managed to remove it.

He concluded the video asking for fishing tips and said: “First time fishing, what an experience!

“The things you do to try and connect with each other. That is unbelievable behavior.”

Cam then reassured fans that although they didn’t catch any fish, his eyelid was “intact.”

Many concerned fans and friends commented, with Love Island’s Josh Moss expressing his disbelief: “Wait, what the-” followed by a shocked emoji.

MAFS’ Al Perkins added: “BROOOO NO WAY.”

Others voiced their concern, noting that the situation could have been “so much worse.”

Cam shares his son Ollie, five, with his wife Jules Robinson.

The couple is one of the show's successful pairings and married for a second time in real life before welcoming their son Ollie.

Now, their family continues to grow.
