MARRIED At First Sight fans have hit out Julia-Ruth’s friends after they clashed with her husband Divarni on tonight’s show.
For in-laws week, Julia-Ruth was joined by her best pals JJ and Drew, while Divarni brought along his cousin Tia.

Julia-Ruth was quick to tell her friends about the row she had with Divarni on their honeymoon.
Her friends were left furious after finding out he had yelled at her on the last day.
“There are certain things you don’t do to people. It’s definitely red flags, I’m really worried about her,” they said.
While Divarni shared his version of events with Tia and told her that his emotions were high and he had approached the situation badly.
Julia-Ruth admitted she struggled with Divarni’s “spiral of negativity” and claimed he hadn’t taken accountability for shouting at her.
He was left devastated after he said he had verbally attacked her, leaving him in tears on the restaurant staircase.
“This isn’t normal,” her friends said.
“He’s not seeing it, he’s not ‘oh sorry for making you feel this way’, simple as that,” they commented.
An emotional Divarni said: “I’m not that kind of person.”
His cousin reassured him that it wasn’t just his fault and that she wanted to listen before she stepped in to defend him.
After returning to the table, Tia said: “He’s feeling it, it’s a lot. In sense of what he did was wrong, the shouting the behavior, but there are certain things that were said today have hurt his feelings.
“I would think about the type of words you use, calling someone out on something can be really damaging.
“These things can be a lot in sense of dragging someone’s character.”
But one of Julia-Ruth’s friend’s slammed Tia for “gaslighting” their mate.
Tia was quick to stick up for herself, saying: “No, no one’s gaslighting. Your feelings are valid, I’ve told you that.”
Speaking to the camera, Tia said she didn’t trust Julia-Ruth and felt her behaviour was showing red flags.
Tia then asked what her intentions were, to which Julia-Ruth said: “My intentions, to meet somebody, be out of the game, I want to find love.”
But her friends continued to give their two pence, telling Divarni : “I feel the way you communicate, I don’t think this is okay.”
Speaking to the camera, they said: “He lacks accountability, he is really defensive, that’s not working, I’m worried about Julia.”
The couple agreed it was time for them to put their issues behind them and work on their actions.
But a heartbroken Divarni said: “Every time I get one step closer, I get one step back.”
E4 viewers were left fuming at Julia-Ruth’s ‘rude’ friends tonight.
One wrote: “Julia-Ruth’s friends are shallow and bitchy. How tedious.”
A second said: “Your friends ‘having your back’ is very different to them blindly justifying your bulls*** and not questioning your own behaviour in situations Julia-Ruth.”
A third posted: “Julia-Ruth and her friends, are literally the worst.”
This person said: “Julia-Ruth will continue to write stay though, her and her friends are toxic af, will label you! Got him questioning himself.”
While this viewer agreed: “Julia-Ruth’s friends are toxic as f***. They don’t have her back. They just want the drama.”
This person shared: “Wondering why Julia-Ruth doesn’t appear with any female friends on this show? Could it be because they see straight through her?”
Another added: “They are a nightmare, Julia-Ruth needs to get rid of those friends. They are horrible.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
