A MAJOR motorway has been closed for several hours with drivers facing delays before the morning rush hour.
The M4 is closed westbound between J18 (Bath) and J19 (M32 Bristol) due to a lorry fire.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5.30am after reports a HGV carrying paper was on fire.
Motorists were brought to a standstill with all traffic stationary on the M4 westbound carriageway.
Avon Fire & Rescue Service and Avon and Somerset Police are at the scene.
Traffic officers are implementing strategic closures due to the blaze.
National Highways has issued a warning about continued delays throughout the day.
National Highways has said: “Due to a lorry fire, the #M4 is closed westbound between J18 (#Bath) and J19 (#M32 #Bristol).
“@AvonFireRescue and @ASPolice are en route with #TrafficOfficers implementing strategic closures.”
Diversion Route
Road users are advised to follow the Solid Circle diversion symbol on road signs:
- Exit the M4 at J18
- At the roundabout take the 3rd exit on to the A46 northbound
- At Old Sodbury turn left onto the A432
- At the A432/B4059 roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the B4059
- At the 3rd roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Yate road
- At Nibley t-junction turn right onto the A432
- At the A432/A4174 roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A4174
- At the M32 roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the M32
- At the next roundabout take the 1st exit to re-join the M4 at J19
