LUKE LITTLER will continue his bid to make darts history when he finally returns to the ProTour next week.

The world No1 will feature at Players Championships 27 and 28 in Leicester on August 25-26 after skipping the opening 26 events of the year.

Littler, 19, heads to the floor circuit with a much bigger prize in his sights as he bids to complete the FIRST of every major PDC title in a single season.

The Warrington wonderkid has already conquered the World Championship, Masters, UK Open, Premier League, World Cup of and World Matchplay this year.

No player, not even 16-time world champion , has ever managed to win every PDC Premier event in the same campaign.

Littler last month confirmed his plan to chase the unprecedented achievement.

He said: “Obviously there have been crucial moments in tournaments that I’ve gone on to win where, in the first round, players have missed one dart at double to beat me.

“Then I go on to win the game. Sometimes it can get really, really close. Last-leg deciders, winning by two clear legs.

“Everyone knows I’ve got to go to the Leicester ProTours. The next one to look for is the World Series in Amsterdam.

“If I win that, then it’s Monday and Tuesday in Den Bosch for more ProTours. We’re looking further into it.

“The clean sweep is definitely on.”

But Littler faces a huge battle to qualify for Finals in Minehead, which take place from November 27 to 29.

The teen sensation currently sits £25,500 outside the qualification places, with Martin Schindler occupying the final top-64 spot in the Order of Merit.

Littler is likely to need a title and at least another final to put himself firmly into contention with eight tournaments remaining.

Despite his stunning dominance on the televised stage, Littler has traditionally found playing behind closed doors a tougher test.

The Nuke won just one of the 12 Players Championship events he entered last season after claiming three titles from 17 appearances in 2024.
